Emergency service begins with a damage assessment. Technicians identify the source and category of water, inspect adjoining areas, and determine which materials have been affected. This information guides equipment placement and helps identify materials that may need to be removed for safe and effective drying.
Industrial pumps and extraction equipment remove standing water from floors, carpet, and other accessible surfaces. Moisture-detection tools are then used to check drywall, flooring, subfloors, and surrounding rooms for water that is not immediately visible.
Removing bulk water is only the mitigation stage. Air movers and dehumidifiers may be placed to draw remaining moisture from building materials and control humidity. Moisture levels are monitored during drying so equipment is not removed simply because the surface looks or feels dry.

Removing Water From Hard-to-Reach Areas
Water often moves beyond the original spill. It can collect beneath floating floors, soak carpet padding, travel behind baseboards, or enter wall and ceiling cavities. Drying only the visible surface may leave these materials wet.
AllKlean uses moisture meters and other detection tools to locate damp materials and map the extent of the affected area. Depending on the construction and damage, technicians may use targeted extraction, remove baseboards, lift carpet, access a limited section of material, or direct drying equipment toward a concealed space.
Not every wet material must be removed. The decision depends on the water source, length of exposure, amount of absorption, and whether the material can be dried and cleaned safely. Contaminated, deteriorated, or non-salvageable materials may require disposal before drying can continue.
